Rehearsal Times

Gemini Youth Orchestras rehearsals take place on Monday evenings at Long Island School for the Gifted, 815 Convent Rd, Syosset, NY 11791.  This location was formerly Our Lady of Mercy School . Please refer to the downloadable schedule for details of the 2025/2026 season.

  • Gemini Repertory Orchestra: 4:30pm – 5:30pm
  • Gemini String Orchestra: 5:40pm – 7:10pm
  • Gemini Youth Symphony: 7:15pm – 9:15pm

Please report to rehearsals 10 minutes early.

What to Bring to Rehearsals

In addition to instruments, please make sure that your children are adequately prepared for rehearsals by having the following items at all times:

All Musicians:

  • Music Stand
  • Music
  • Pencils
  • Eraser

Strings:

  • Extra strings
  • Rosin
  • Mute
  • Rock stop (cellists)

Winds:

  • Extra reeds
  • Neck strap (if necessary)
  • Instrument stand (if necessary)

Brass:

  • Valve/slide oil
  • Mutes
  • Instrument stand (if necessary)
