Concerto Competition

The annual GYO Concerto Competition is your opportunity to shine as a soloist with your ensemble! All members in good standing are invited to compete for the opportunity to perform a concerto with your ensemble.

Key Dates:

  • Application Deadline: January 27, 2025
  • Audition Round: March 3, 2025
  • GYO Honors Recital: late April/early May (date TBD)
  • Concerto Performance: June 7, 2025
You will audition with a piece written for your instrument and orchestra of between 5 and 12 minutes in length. It can be a one-movement work, or a single movement from a multi-movement work. 

Don’t forget: All selections need to be approved by your conductor before applying!
